Job summary

First Farmers in Columbia, TN is seeking a Collections and Special Assets Analyst to manage delinquent loan accounts, pursue collections, and assist with the disposition of repossessed collateral. The role supports timely asset recognition and audits, including bankruptcy filings and committee materials.

You will act as secretary to the Special Assets Committee, prepare meeting packets, coordinate notices, and compile monthly and quarterly management reports.

Qualifications

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.

Responsibilities

• Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail to bring them current.
• Maintains files and reports on collections activity and tracks invoices.
• Analyzes financial situations of delinquent borrowers and advises on collateral actions.
• Serves as Secretary to the Special Assets Committee and organizes meetings.
• Prepares monthly/quarterly reports for Special Assets, Credit Administration, or Senior Management.
• Files claims in bankruptcy and other regulatory filings as needed.
• Monitors risk rating changes and supports quarterly credit grade affirmation.
• Performs annual online property tax verifications and manages delinquency process.
