First Farmers is seeking a Credit Analyst to support the bank's commercial lending function in Columbia, TN. The role involves performing financial, industry, economic, and collateral analysis on major credit relationships and assisting in evaluating requests and annual reviews.

The candidate will prepare CAMs, analyze repayment capacity, and identify risks and mitigating factors in accordance with bank policy and underwriting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications required.
• 3-5 years of related experience in credit/financial analysis preferred.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis and spreading of financial statements, tax returns, and rent rolls. Calculate key credit ratios and cash-flow metrics.
• Prepare Credit Approval Memorandums (CAMs) for new and existing relationships, assessing repayment sources, collateral, and risk.
• Model stress tests and scenario analyses to evaluate borrower performance under varied conditions.
• Conduct industry and market research to identify trends affecting credit risk and opportunities.
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, covenant reviews, risk ratings, and annual relationship reviews.
