Job summary

Our client, a well-established community bank, seeks a Special Assets Manager to oversee the Special Assets portfolio, focusing on review, analysis, and resolution of criticized and non-performing loans for commercial and consumer lines. You will collaborate with credit, legal, and executive teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and asset recovery plans.

Responsibilities include managing non-performing loans, developing workout strategies, performing credit analyses, and presenting status

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Special Assets, workouts, and credit analysis.
• Knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, loan documentation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and collections.
• Proven track record in managing and resolving complex credit relationships.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical abilities with high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency with loan management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of adversely classified, non-performing loans for commercial and consumer lines.
• Develop asset workout strategies, restructures, liquidations, and collection plans.
• Perform credit analysis and loan reviews to assess borrower risk.
• Collaborate with borrowers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders for modifications and collections.
• Prepare reports on Special Assets status for execs and board.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
• Oversee OREO assets: valuation, maintenance, disposition.
• Maintain loan files and documentation throughout resolution.
• Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes affecting Special Assets.
