Responsibilities

• Resolve theft by using good judgment and making quality apprehensions while following policy and AP guidance.
• Identify theft trends using reporting and surveillance techniques.
• Drive shrinkage reduction by implementing action plans and merchandise protection standards.
• Identify and support internal theft investigations via exception-based reporting and surveillance systems.
• Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and coordinating with AP Leadership and Investigation teams.
• Use video systems to monitor theft activity and aid investigations.
• Utilize RFID data to track merchandise movement and assist item-level investigations.
• Maintain safety and security of customers, employees, and the store; respond to incidents and escalate as needed.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness training within the store.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and participate in training including First Aid.
• Prepare and submit prompt incident reports for high-profile events and investigations.
• Testify in court when summoned for criminal or civil cases.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and local law enforcement.
