Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection professional to safeguard customers, employees, and merchandise. You will protect physical spaces, reduce shrinkage, and partner with the Emergency Response Team to respond to emergencies.

The role emphasizes investigative work, use of video surveillance, and collaboration with store leaders and local law enforcement to maintain security and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft by sound judgment and compliant apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends using surveillance data and reporting.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and standards.
• Support internal theft investigations via reporting and audits.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and partnerships.
• Operate video systems to monitor activity and assist investigations.
• Use RFID data to track merchandise movement and inaccuracies.
• Maintain safety of customers and employees; respond to incidents.
• Lead shrinkage awareness and participate in store meetings.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Prepare and submit incident and investigation reports promptly.
• Testify in court as needed and build cross-functional partnerships.
