Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to protect people, spaces, and product accuracy across our store network. You’ll partner with the Emergency Response Team, investigate theft and safety incidents, and participate in security audits while upholding policy and confidentiality.

The role requires adaptability, strong judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly in high-pressure situations, with a focus on protecting assets and reducing shrinkage.

Qualifications

• Valid security license required for select locations.
• Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Clear verbal communication and concise written reporting.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using judgment and compliant apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends via reporting, surveillance, and tech.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and standards.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and partnerships.
• Monitor theft activity using video systems and RFID data.
• Maintain safety and security of customers and employees.
• Lead store security audits and shrinkage awareness training.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in training.
• Submit prompt, complete incident reports for high-profile events.
