Job summary

Nordstrom in Bloomington, MN seeks an Asset Protection Agent to protect people, physical spaces, and product accuracy. You will respond to incidents, lead surveillance efforts, and support internal investigations while partnering with store leadership and local law enforcement.

The role requires solid communication skills, confidentiality, and a flexible schedule. You will work with video surveillance, RFID data, and AP leadership to reduce shrinkage and ensure store safety.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgment and compliant apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends using reporting and surveillance tools.
• Lead shrinkage reduction through action plans and standards.
• Support investigations with internal teams and audits.
• Gather evidence and coordinate with AP leadership and investigations.
• Operate video systems to monitor activity and assist investigations.
• Leverage RFID data for merchandise movement insights.
• Maintain safety and security of customers and employees; escalate incidents.
• Lead shrinkage awareness and training with store teams.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in trainings.
• Prepare prompt, complete incident and policy violation reports.
• Testify in court when required.
• Build partnerships with store leadership, nearby retailers, and law enforcement.
