Nordstrom Inc is hiring an Asset Protection Agent to help safeguard customers, teammates and brands. You will work with the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) to respond to emergencies, mitigate shrinkage, and protect inventory.

Responsibilities include identifying theft trends, performing investigations, and preparing reports on incidents. The role emphasizes strong judgment under pressure, confidentiality, and cross‑functional collaboration with store leaders and law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgment and secure apprehensions per policy.
• Identify theft trends using data, reporting, and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and standards.
• Support internal theft investigations and use reporting systems.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and collaboration.
• Use video systems to monitor activity and aid investigations.
• Monitor merchandise movement using RFID data for accuracy.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees; report incidents.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness training in-store.
• Participate in store Emergency Response Team (ERT) training.
• Prepare timely reports on high-profile incidents and investigations.
• Testify in court when summoned.
