Position Summary :

Prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short, and civil liabilities; reduce shrinkage and improve margins.

Fred Meyer requires all associates to perform tasks safely, in accordance with corporate policies and applicable laws.

Additional requirements include:

  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
  • Experience in retail security and law enforcement.
  • Ability to pursue ongoing education.
  • High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum age of 18, or 21 in Alaska.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Capacity to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention concepts.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Skills in detecting and deterring theft, monitoring shrink areas, and reporting incidents.
  • Support for customer and associate relations through communication and training.
  • Ability to provide credible court testimony.
  • Capability to identify high theft areas and ensure policy compliance.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
