Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Kernersville, NC, is seeking a Security Associate to perform scheduled and ongoing tasks protecting assets by enforcing safety and security policies. You will control trailer and vehicle traffic, manage badge systems, and document incidents while supporting After Hours communications with stores.

The role requires strong communication, familiarity with DC workflow, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment; overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Computer proficiency including MS Office.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Strong phone communication skills.
• Understanding of the Distribution Center workflow and building layout.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Protect Michaels assets by enforcing safety and security policies.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Investigate incidents and document reports.
• Support After Hours program; communicate delivery issues to stores.
• Respond to medical or other emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
• Maintain department code of conduct and confidentiality.
• Assist in safety orientations for new team members.
