Job summary

Michaels Stores in Irving, TX is seeking an Asset Protection Technology Specialist to develop and manage loss control programs for stores and distribution centers. This role collaborates with field staff, District Managers, vendors, and management teams to protect assets including alarm systems, CCTV, EAS and key systems.

The position requires ownership of loss prevention initiatives, project management for CCTV/EAS and fire alarm installations, and coordination with Litigation, Investigations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate Excel.
• 3+ years in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection or related field.
• Familiarity with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, EAS and CCTV

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage loss control and physical security programs for stores and distribution centers.
• Lead installation, service calls, and vendor coordination for CCTV and alarm systems.
• Oversee security guard vendors and respond to emergencies with minimal guidance.
• Identify shrink trends and provide analytical insights through reporting and KPIs.
• Coordinate with Investigations and Legal to support video and system access needs.
• Own the Asset Protection alarm permit program and ensure legal compliance.
• Manage CCTV, EAS and Fire Alarm installation projects within budget and schedule.
