Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Security Associate for our distribution operations. This role involves patrols, access control, and monitoring weapons detection systems to prevent security breaches.

Responsibilities include incident response, reporting, and enforcing safety policies across the site. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient in WMS and inventory movement in a DC.
• Proficient in writing, Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with integrity and credibility.
• Attention to detail and auditing mindset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to check doors and gates for security breaches.
• Monitor entrances, verify credentials, manage sign-ins.
• Operate Evolv weapons detection system and respond to incidents.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to detect unauthorized activity.
• Escalate with off-site law enforcement when needed and coordinate responses.
• Serve as first responder to emergencies and contact authorities as required.
• Document observations and incidents in daily reports.
• Enforce company policies and remove trespassers when necessary.
• Complete all required reports and conduct life and safety inspections.
• Perform asset inspections for outbound shipments and detect theft risks.
