Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. seeks an Asset Protection Agent in Washington to protect people, spaces and product accuracy while reducing shrinkage. You will partner with store leadership and the Emergency Response Team to respond to incidents and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities include resolving theft with policy, supporting investigations, and conducting security audits. A valid security license in the listed locations is required, with flexibility to work a variable schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid security license required for listed states.

• Experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using policy and lead apprehensions in high shrinkage areas.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and protective standards.
• Support internal theft investigations with reporting and surveillance tools.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and collaboration with AP leadership.
• Monitor activity using video systems to support investigations.
• Review RFID data to track merchandise movement and assist with discrepancies.
• Maintain general safety and security for customers and employees; report incidents.
• Lead security audits and participate in store meetings to raise shrinkage awareness.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in training including First Aid.
• Prepare and submit timely reports for high-profile incidents and recoveries.
• Testify in court when summoned.
