Job summary

Meijer is hiring an Asset Protection Supervisor at our Westland, MI store. You will lead the Asset Protection team, collaborate with store leadership to prevent shrink, and ensure safety culture with 200% accountability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail experience.
• 1–2 years of investigative experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to think strategically and make discretionary recommendations.
• Ability to delegate tasks to ensure completion at multiple units.
• Ability to prioritize time to achieve positive impact.
• Leadership skills to remotely lead asset protection teams.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze financial reports including Shrink, P/L, Risk Assessments.
• Strong investigative skills/techniques.
• Interviewing and interrogations skills (Wicklander preferred).
• Understanding of criminal and civil justice system.
• Understanding of Organized Retail Crime.
• Understanding of retail operations and product protection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Asset Protection team including hiring, performance reviews, and scheduling within budget.
• Investigate internal/external losses and criminal acts; enforce deterrence methods.
• Serve on store Safety Committee and promote 200% safety accountability.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure physical security systems and key control are maintained.
• Develop and implement shrink prevention strategies.
• Maintain professional standards in Asset Protection office as liaison with authorities.
• Review financial reports to identify root causes and coordinate with leadership.
• Perform pre/post inventory assessments and analyses.
• Attend and present at meetings and training sessions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
