Job summary

Macy's is seeking an Asset Protection Captain to lead and develop the AP team, focusing on theft prevention, investigations, and adherence to company policies. You will collaborate with store leadership to ensure a safe and service-oriented environment while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Responsibilities include supervising colleagues, documenting incidents, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in training, coaching, or supervising in retail/security environments.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and respond to theft, fraud, safety, and policy-related incidents.
• Knowledge of policies and legal requirements for apprehensions, searches, seizures, and evidence preservation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Asset Protection colleagues in theft prevention and investigations.
• Partner with store leadership to maintain a safe, secure environment.
• Use surveillance and reporting systems to document incidents and support investigations.
• Create clear reports for theft incidents, recoveries, and investigations.
• Build partnerships with local law enforcement to support investigations.
