Qualifications

• A valid security license is required for this role in Washington DC; Denver, Colorado; New York City, New York; St. Louis, Missouri; and Oregon.
• Ability to make accountability-based decisions with good judgement in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication, plus strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgement and conduct quality apprehensions per policy and AP guidance.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting and surveillance tactics.
• Lead shrinkage reduction by implementing action plans and merchandise protection standards.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and collaboration with AP leadership.
• Monitor activity via video systems and support investigations.
• Maintain store safety by responding to incidents and assisting in emergency reporting.
• Participate in store security audits and shrinkage awareness training.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in training.
• Prepare prompt, complete reports for incidents and investigations.
• Testify in court when summoned and build partnerships with local law enforcement.
