Job summary

JCPenney in Auburn, ME is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist focused on shrink and safety. Qualifications

• 1+ years retail work experience/Asset Protection/Security or equivalent leadership experience/education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity and collect investigative evidence.
• Execute required investigation routines and properly document all stages.
• Conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Report suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP and Store leadership.
• Create and manage records for apprehensions, witness statements, retention of evidence, and disposition of recovered merchandise.
• Collect evidence and monitor associate activity as needed for investigations.
• Identify potential acts of theft and fraud by observing activity and reports.
