Job summary

Bloomingdale's is seeking a Visual Security Officer (VSO) to provide a visible, welcoming presence at the customer entrance, deter theft, and support a safe shopping environment. You will greet customers, engage with shoppers, and participate in the Asset Protection training program to grow in responsibility while maintaining professionalism.

On the selling floor, you will monitor traffic, deter suspicious activity, and communicate with Asset Protection when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes customers while on the selling floor
• Visually monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store
• Deter theft via visual observation
• Maintain a safe business environment
• Communicate suspicious activity to Asset Protection/Security
