Bloomingdale’s Asset Protection Visual Security Officer (VSO) is a full-time role based at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. The VSO provides a visible security presence, deters theft, greets customers, and helps create a safe shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers on the selling floor.
• Visually monitor customer traffic entering and exiting the store.
• Deter theft via visual observation and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate suspicious activity to Asset Protection/Security.
• Provide a visible and welcoming presence at the entrance to deter theft and assist customers.
