Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Asset Management Analyst to oversee the performance of our multifamily portfolio. This role requires expertise in financial modeling, budget management, and strategic decision-making to optimize asset value. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, monitor property performance, and drive business plan execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Budget Management
- Develop and present business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Continuously monitor property budgets, rent collections, cash flow, and perform variance analysis.
- Provide financial modeling and analysis for lease economics, expense recovery, and capital projects.
- Prepare and distribute reports for lenders and capital partners, ensuring compliance with loan and partnership agreements.
- Assist in securing property financing and preparing approval requests for leasing and capital projects.
Property Performance & Strategic Execution
- Analyze property-level data (e.g., rent rolls, leasing reports, operating statements) from platforms like Yardi, RealPage, and Entrata.
- Work closely with third-party property managers to oversee property operations and execute business plans.
- Track portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Support acquisition underwriting by reviewing financial assumptions, budgets, and market data.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Manage reporting and communication with internal teams, capital partners, lenders, and other key investment stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of financial and operational goals through clear and timely updates.
- Support investment team efforts through market research, due diligence, and investment memorandum preparation.
Capital Projects & Repositioning
- Oversee construction projects, including budget tracking, capital draws, vendor coordination, and onsite oversight.
- Manage the bidding process, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with project goals.
- Implement the scope of the business plan, coordinating project schedules and execution.
- Support the development and execution of asset repositioning plans, collaborating with architects, contractors, and consultants.
Reporting & Data Analytics
- Provide analytical support for portfolio metrics, loan performance, forecasting, and investment return analysis.
- Maintain tracking tools for investment returns, leasing, and capital project performance.
- Deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports to inform decision-making and enhance asset performance.
Qualifications:
You're an ideal fit if:
- Minimum of 2 years of asset management experience in the multifamily real estate sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, and real estate software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, Entrata).
- Expertise in budget management, forecasting, variance analysis, and capital project oversight.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with construction management and capital project bidding is a plus.
- Knowledge of real estate financing and compliance requirements is desirable.
Compensation:
