Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst- Energy Storage
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)

This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on the development and execution of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects in a short period and is currently expanding rapidly.

The Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst will join a growing Asset Management Division, a creative team focused on energy storage, battery storage asset management, operations & maintenance, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations.

The role involves supporting commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization initiatives for innovative renewable energy battery storage assets across a nationwide utility-scale renewable energy portfolio. It also includes pioneering the development and utilization of a proprietary energy storage management platform for utility-scale projects.

This is a data analytics-driven role requiring experience supporting asset/portfolio contractual agreements, operational budgets, and third-party vendor management.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage day-to-day data analytics and visual dashboards for utility-scale battery storage assets nationwide to ensure optimal operation post-COD.
  2. Review and coordinate asset-based contracts (PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, Entity Structures) to monitor contractual terms, warranties, and project risks affecting cost and performance.
  3. Create and analyze operational budgets using Excel in collaboration with the accounting team to support asset performance analytics.
  4. Monitor KPIs to ensure project development milestones are met and operational plants perform optimally.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in utility-scale renewables, focusing on asset management, portfolio management, or operations management.
  • Strong background in data analytics supporting renewable energy asset management initiatives.
  • Proven success in data-driven asset management, including financial performance optimization, O&M management, and energy management across various energy platforms.
  • Knowledge of financial asset management, including P&Ls, budgeting, energy deal structures, and cash management.
  • Familiarity with commercial agreements such as PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, and Entity Structures is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting performance analytics for third-party O&M contractors and service providers.
  • Knowledge of NERC, FERC, or ISO/RTO operational compliance is a plus.
  • Ideal candidates may have held roles like Sr. Portfolio Analyst, Sr. Asset Analyst, Asset Portfolio Associate, Commercial Analyst, or similar in renewable or clean energy companies.
