Job summary

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department in Cheyenne, WY is seeking an Inventory and Asset Technician to join our Fiscal team. This role manages uniform inventory and distribution, administers vendor contracts, and serves as the point of contact for fixed asset administration.

Responsibilities include asset reconciliation, asset disposal, and backup cash handling, with cross‑functional collaboration and attention to detail in record keeping.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
  • 0-1 year of progressive work experience in finance or 3-4 years at Accounting Technician level.
  • Background and credit check required.

Responsibilities

  • Distributes uniforms for 300 employees and manages inventory.
  • Coordinate and administer contracts for uniform vendors.
  • Reconcile fixed asset systems (WOLFS) and assign asset tags.
  • Conduct annual reconciliation of internal and capital fixed assets.
  • Handle asset disposal and coordination with surplus.
  • Backup cashier duties and revenue processing.
  • Backup duties for Fleet Technician.
  • Manage headquarters office supply inventory.
