Job summary

The State of West Virginia's Department of Tourism seeks an Inventory Control Coordinator in Charleston to oversee asset management, fleet responsibilities, and related logistics. You will work under the Chief Financial Officer, ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting the finance team during daily operations.

Requires the ability to perform physical labor, lift as needed, and maintain precise records within a busy government environment. Remote work is not permitted.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university.
• Preference may be given to candidates with a major in public/business administration, accounting, communications or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage state-owned property and track fixed assets; reconcile inventory in wvOasis and the department inventory system.
• Perform data entry, physical inventory audits, and processing documents; oversee shipping, receiving and transfer of assets.
• Oversee retirement of assets and assist with logistics; manage Fleet Vehicles, including driver safety training, fuel pins, and mileage logs.
• Support records retention and management; assist CFO and finance/admin team as needed.
• This position requires physical labor and lifting; limited travel.
