Job summary

West Virginia Department of Tourism is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to support the Finance Team by managing state-owned property and asset records. The role includes tracking fixed assets, reconciling inventories in wvOasis and the department’s system, and performing counts with data entry and audits.

Responsibilities extend to shipping/receiving, asset transfers and retirement, plus basic tech-related logistics for assets.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred majors include public/business administration, accounting, or related field.
• Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift.

Responsibilities

• Manage state-owned property and track fixed assets within the department’s systems.
• Perform inventory counts, data entry, and physical audits.
• Oversee shipping, receiving and transfer of assets; retire assets as needed.
• Support records retention and logistics for assets; assist with tech-related asset tasks.
