Job summary

Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking an Inventory and Asset Technician to support the Fiscal team in Cheyenne, WY. You will manage uniform inventory for 300 staff, administer vendor contracts, and maintain fixed asset records across internal and capital assets.

The role includes asset disposal coordination, backup cashier duties, and collaboration with state surplus. A Bachelor’s in finance and relevant experience are preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred.
  • 0-1 year of progressive work experience in finance with accounting technician level knowledge.
  • 3-4 years of progressive work experience in finance with accounting technician level knowledge (substitution).

Responsibilities

  • Distributes uniforms for 300 staff and maintains inventory records.
  • Coordinates and administers contracts with uniform vendors.
  • Reviews and reconciles internal and capital fixed assets; assigns asset tags.
  • Manages disposal, auction, and destruction of agency assets.
  • Coordinates with state surplus and guides paperwork and processes.
  • Handles asset disposal transactions in WOLFS and tracks revenue from surplus items.
  • Acts as backup Cashier for deposits and revenue processing.
  • Performs backup duties for Fleet Technician; maintains supplies inventory.
