Job summary

FastTek Global in Detroit, MI seeks a Contracted Asset Management & Deployment Specialist to coordinate the asset lifecycle of technology devices from receipt to disposal. You will maintain an organized warehouse, ensure quality and SLA adherence, and deliver best-in-class service to stakeholders.

The role requires five+ years in desktop support, strong ITSM/ITAM familiarity, and proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in asset management and IT deployment, preferably in an educational or large enterprise setting.
• Minimum of five years of desktop/computer support experience with troubleshooting and maintenance on computers and peripherals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with ITSM and ITAM tools and database management.
• Ability to follow procedures and create accurate reports.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of the asset lifecycle for technology devices from acquisition to disposal.
• Serve as first line of contact for technology purchase inquiries and coordinate onboarding/offboarding of staff.
• Assist with technology deployment scheduling to district locations, including school deliveries.
• Conduct orientation sessions and best-practice workshops for new devices.
• Maintain warehouse upkeep and inventory records for devices and orders.
• Resolve order, warranty or delivery issues with colleagues, vendors, and carriers.
• Coordinate physical inventories and technology audits with up-to-date reporting.
• Maintain stock inventory to ensure deployment readiness.
• Develop internal knowledge resources and FAQs for the Hub.
• Follow warehouse safety guidelines and ensure secure asset storage.
