Job summary

Hayden Industrial in Oklahoma is seeking an Asset Accountant to manage inventory, CIP, and fixed asset records under US GAAP. You will partner with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Project Management, and A/P to ensure accurate asset activity and strong controls.

The role requires journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close experience, plus proficiency with CrescentOne (Glovia) ERP and advanced Excel. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with inventory and fixed assets.
• US GAAP knowledge for inventory valuation and asset disposals.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficiency with CrescentOne (Glovia) ERP and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inventory accounting and reconciliation: maintain records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; reconcile to GL monthly and investigate discrepancies.
• Inventory transactions and cutoff: review receipts, production issues, transfers, returns, scrap, and shipments for accurate recording; resolve discrepancies with procurement and AP.
• Physical inventories and cycle counts: coordinate counts and reconciliations; investigate variances and prepare adjustments for approval.
• Inventory costing and valuation: support standard cost maintenance, variances analysis, and reserve/write-down recommendations.
• Fixed asset records and activity: maintain fixed asset register, acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements; reconcile to GL.
• Capitalization and depreciation: prepare asset additions, depreciation schedules, and disposal calculations; apply classifications and useful lives.
• Construction in progress (CIP): track CIP balances, budgets, POs, invoices, accruals, and review project variances.
• Project completion and placed-in-service accounting: transfer CIP to assets, start depreciation, and close out projects.
• Close, reporting, and audit support: prepare journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and schedules; support audits.
• Controls and continuous improvement: maintain procedures and improve ERP data integrity and cross-functional workflows.
