Job summary

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an Asset Accountant reporting directly to the Plant Controller (Hayden Commercial).

This hands-on role is responsible for inventory and fixed asset accounting, including construction in progress (CIP), and supports accurate valuation, complete asset records, and timely month-end and year-end close in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. inventory and fixed assets.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• US GAAP knowledge, standard costing, variances, internal controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems and fixed assets software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records and reconcile subledgers to GL monthly.
• Track CIP, capital projects, and asset disposals per policy.
• Prepare depreciation schedules and asset retirements.
• Coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, and adjustments.
• Reconcile asset activity with operations and AP for accuracy.
• Support internal controls and audit requests related to assets.
• Assist month-end and year-end close with schedules and entries.
