Job summary

Interface, Inc. is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage the fixed asset subledger, depreciation, and asset verifications in a manufacturing setting. You will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Finance to ensure proper capitalization and reporting under U.S.

GAAP. You will maintain asset records, run month‑end close, and support audits, while upholding internal controls and SOX requirements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; fixed asset accounting and manufacturing context preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, and CIP.
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, data analysis, and reconciliations; SOX awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset subledger and record asset additions, transfers, retirements, disposals, and depreciation.
• Review CIP activity and capitalization details with cross‑functional teams for proper asset accounting.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset journal entries and reconcile balances to the general ledger.
• Support physical inventories, asset verification, and audit requests across locations.
