Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Assembly Worker/Machine Operator for a premier manufacturing client in South Salt Lake, UT. The role runs 7am–1pm with a pay rate of $18/hour.

The position requires standing for the shift, ability to lift as needed, and adherence to GMP and safety standards. DMV/background checks may be required, and education is flexible with relevant experience considered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or 2 years relevant experience.
  • Able to stand for the full shift and lift as required.
  • Willing to undergo DMV screen and background check.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, maintain, and configure packaging and processing equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections, complete required documentation, and ensure defect-free work.
  • Load materials into machines (corrugate, labels, bottles/cans, glue, carriers).
  • Assist with minor equipment changeovers and preventive maintenance.
  • Clear jams, monitor material flow, and ensure proper coding/graphics on packaging.
  • Report quality issues to supervisors and assist with machine repairs as needed.
  • Keep work area clean, follow GMP compliance and company rules.
  • Shutdown equipment and clear machines at end of run/shift.

Kelly® is looking for an Assembly Worker/Machine Operators to work at a premier manufacturing client in South Salt Lake, UT.

Pay $18/hour

7am - 1pm (hrs may Vary)

What’s a typical day as Assembly Worker? You’ll be:

  • Setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring packaging and processing equipment according to specifications.
  • Performing visual inspections, completing required documentation, and ensuring defect-free work.
  • Loading materials such as corrugate, labels, bottles/cans, glue, and carriers into machines.
  • Assisting with minor equipment changeovers and preventative maintenance.
  • Clearing jams, monitoring material flow, and ensuring proper coding and graphics on packaging.
  • Reporting quality issues to supervisors and assisting with machine repairs as needed.
  • Keeping your work area clean, adhering to GMP compliance, and following all company work rules.
  • Shutting down equipment and clearing machines at the end of each run and at the end of your shift.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience if education is not completed.
  • Are able to provide documentation of your highest level of education or pass employment verification for relevant experience.
  • Are comfortable with standing for the entire shift and lifting as required.
  • Can read, analyze, and interpret common information and reports, and effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Are willing to undergo a DMV screen and background check (employment may start pending results).
  • Have a commitment to workplace safety and quality.
