Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Pontiac, IL is seeking an Assembly and Test Specialist to improve process efficiency by assembling and testing components across manufacturing stages.

You will operate test machines, perform rework and repair of fuel injectors, fuel pumps, exhaust systems, and PETU tanks, using hand and pneumatic tools. Shift options include 2nd and 3rd, with a starting pay of $23.22 per hour plus a $1.00 night shift premium.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or engine maintenance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (Schematics, standard work, and/or blueprints).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, rework, and repair Fuel Injectors and Fuel Pumps using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Assemble exhaust systems and PETU tanks with pumps, wiring harnesses, insulation, and other components.
• Operate test machines.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex components to repair or replace damaged injector parts.
