Innova Solutions Inc is hiring an Assembly Technician in State College, PA. This full-time contract role involves assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components, following detailed instructions, and ensuring product quality.

You will read mechanical/electrical drawings, use hand tools, perform some hand soldering, and work as part of a collaborative production team in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in assembly and attention to quality are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience or an associate degree with 0–2 years experience.
• Experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly and ability to read drawings.
• Ability to solder and perform hand soldering on electronic assemblies.

Assembly Technician

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Assembly Technician. Position Type: Full Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire Duration: 12 months Location: State College, PA 16803.

As an Assembly Technician, you will perform a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products. Follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality. Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts. Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches. Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels. Uses Microsoft Office programs. Maintains neat and clean work area. Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements. Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies. Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment. Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks. Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift. Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Electrical background at the component level.
• Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the E3 continuous improvement process.
• J-STD-001, IPC-610.
• Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Pay Range and Benefits

• PayRange*: $25-$26 per hour
• *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
