Job summary
Danfoss in Ames, Iowa is seeking a Process Technician (Assembly Team) to join our manufacturing group. The role covers the assembly process from setup to testing in our cell-based environment, working closely with process engineers and maintenance.
You will monitor electrical and mechanical equipment, support line operations, apply problem-solving tools, and help implement process improvements and poka-yokes. A technical background (AA or equivalent) and familiarity with TPM/SMED are preferred.
Qualifications
- Monitors and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical equipment in assembly.
- Provide line support for the assembly cell and escalation after the cell expert for issues related to safety and process quality.
- Troubleshooting daily issues and preventing recurrence using SOPs, training, etc.
- Assist in implementing process changes and problem solving on the shop floor.
- Assist in proving out new processes and changes by gathering data and observations.
Responsibilities
- Support in the design and implementation of manufacturing controls such as Poka-Yokes.
- Lead or assist on tactical implementation projects.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers, Maintenance, Controls, Calibration and other support functions.
