Job summary

Danfoss in Ames, IA is seeking a detail-oriented Production Operations Technician for 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm, Mon–Fri). You will assemble hydraulic pumps, operate equipment, and monitor production to meet quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related training/experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Assemble hydraulic pumps.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major problems to maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Record production data and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
