Job summary

Sew-EURODRIVE in Troy, Alabama is seeking a hands-on assembler to handle all aspects of the assembly process, from stocking and parts pulling to testing, packing, and shipping. The primary focus is assembly of reducers and motors, with excellent mechanical aptitude required.

You will work on the 3rd shift, eligible for a 10% shift differential, and the role includes a robust benefits package starting on DAY ONE, including medical, life, disability coverage and a 401(k) with company match.

Responsibilities

• Assemble gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives.
• Maintain stock between assembly lines and pull parts as needed.
• Repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general cleanup.
• Use calipers and gauges to inspect parts and finished assemblies.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures; report unsafe conditions.

About the Role

Position involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping /receiving and general clean up. The main focus of the position at this time is assembly of reducers and motors. Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience is required, including a background in hand assembly.

Pay Range: $17.00/hour + 10% Shift Differential

Shift: 3rd shift

• Must visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
• Must comply with all current ISO Quality and Work Instructions for job, all Company Safety rules, and all other Company rules, policies and procedures.
• Assess each situation and do not perform any tasks which s/he feels is unsafe, on which s/he has not received training, or engage in any unsafe work practices. Report any unsafe condition to his/her manager.
