Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Assembler Technical I in Buffalo Grove, IL. You will assemble driver barrier doors and related components using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The role offers a 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour and stable, full-time employment. Prior assembly experience and ability to read engineering drawings are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or vocational education preferred.
• 1–2 years of assembly/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies and finished products using drawings and BOM.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and PSS.
• Operate pneumatic, electric, hand, and torque tools to install components.
• Perform quality inspections and adjust as needed to meet specs.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per 5S standards.
• Communicate production needs and concerns with team and supervisors.
• Follow all company policies and safety requirements.

Join Our Team

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembler Technical I to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble driver barrier doors and related components using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Pay Rate: $21.00 per Hour

Shift: 1st 7am to 3:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies and finished products using engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and Process Standard Sheets (PSS).

• Operate pneumatic, electric, hand, and torque tools to install and secure components.

• Perform quality inspections and make necessary adjustments to meet product specifications.

• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards.

• Communicate production concerns, irregularities, and ongoing needs with team members and supervisors.

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Technical training or vocational education preferred.

• One (1) to two (2) years of assembly, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and assembly instructions.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and torque tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds occasionally.

• Frequent use of hands for assembly tasks requiring dexterity.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed.

• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and industrial noise levels.

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
