Job summary

MKS, Inc. is seeking an Assembler 2 to partner with the Operations team on a wide range of mechanical assembly tasks. The role reports to the Operations Manager and offers benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid holidays.

The position supports lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives in a manufacturing environment located in Lawrence, MA. You will assemble products to blueprints, participate in setup and testing, train junior staff, and maintain production records.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex products, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, welding and testing units.
• Make set-ups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• May be responsible for testing equipment and products.
• Run wash station to clean piece parts and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly, fit, form, and function issues using established procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
• Train and mentor Assembler I and II employees on assembly methods, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
