Job summary

MKS Inc. in Massachusetts (Lawrence) is seeking an Assembler 2 to join the Operations team.

You will assemble complex products, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards, reporting to the Operations Manager. You will set up and adjust processes within blueprint tolerances, may test equipment, run wash stations, troubleshoot issues, and participate in lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly and following work instructions.
• Ability to work with blueprints and quality standards.
• Willingness to train and mentor junior assemblers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex products, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, welding and testing units.
• Make set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• May be responsible for testing equipment and products.
• Run wash station to clean piece parts and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly, fit, form, and function issues using established procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
• Train and mentor Assembler I and Assembler II employees on assembly methods, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
