Job summary

MKS, Inc. is seeking an Assembler 2 to partner with the Operations team on a wide range of mechanical assembly tasks and to report to the Operations Manager.

You will assemble complex products per work instructions, adherence to drawings and quality standards, and support lean manufacturing, training, and safety in a manufacturing environment.

  • Set up and adjust processes within blueprint tolerances.
  • Test equipment and products as needed and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
  • Train and mentor newer assembler staff on methods and safety.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Assembler 2 at MKS, Inc. you will partner with the Operations team to perform a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Assemble complex products, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, welding and testing units.
  • Making set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
  • May be responsible for testing equipment and products
  • Running wash station to clean piece parts and assemblies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly, fit, form, and function issues using established procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
  • Train and mentor Assembler I and Assembler II employees on assembly methods, quality standards, and safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Skills You Bring:
  • 2-3 years of related experience required
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 80% of the time
  • Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
  • Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually average
Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $16.70 - 27.83 USD Hourly. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
