Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking an Assembler 2 in Massachusetts to partner with the Operations team on mechanical assembly of complex products. You will report to the Operations Manager and contribute to continuous improvement.

The role requires 2-3 years of related experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment. Compensation includes hourly pay and discretionary bonus, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex products, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, welding and testing units.
• Making set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
• May be responsible for testing equipment and products
• Running wash station to clean piece parts and assemblies
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly, fit, form, and function issues using established procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
• Train and mentor Assembler I and Assembler II employees on assembly methods, quality standards, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
