Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking an Assembler 2 in the United States (Pennsylvania) to partner with the Operations team in mechanical assembly. You will report to the Operations Manager and contribute to production, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities include building complex assemblies, following specifications, setting up processes, and possibly testing equipment. You will maintain records and mentor junior assemblers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex products, subassemblies, and components according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, welding and testing units.
• Making set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
• May be responsible for testing equipment and products
• Running wash station to clean piece parts and assemblies
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly, fit, form, and function issues using established procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S activities.
• Train and mentor Assembler I and Assembler II employees on assembly methods, quality standards, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
