Job summary

Dover Corp in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking an Assembler I to complete refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies, including tanks, canopies, base frames, hardware kits, plenums, or other parts. You will read and interpret orders, identify parts and tools, measure with rulers and tape measures, fasten components with bolts or rivets, and work at multiple stations.

A HS Diploma/GED and prior manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend orders and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an 'A' order.
• Identify parts used on the assigned product line and their placement.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Perform assembly with hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and part descriptions from work orders.
• Use gauging, measurement tools, and instruments.
• Read rulers, tapes, and other measuring devices.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Work as part of the assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
