Job summary

Dover Food Retail in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking an Assembler I to join our production team. You will assemble glass doors, frames and subcomponents, following traveler and work instructions, and perform end-of-line checks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of assembly experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods and read specifications. We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401k, Flexible Spending, and Paid Holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of production assembly work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or produce component parts into subassemblies, assemblies or completed units per instructions.
• Inspect parts or completed units using gauges, tape measures, fixtures, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Perform end-of-line product checks and/or repairs.
• Communicate changes to assemblers, leads and supervisors to ensure products meet specifications.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Recommend inline and subsequent checks to increase first-pass yield.
