Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is hiring an Assembler I (2nd Shift) in Reno, NV to perform simple repetitive bench assembly and related tasks. The role includes assembling parts, picking and packing orders, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

CORE HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PM; shift differential brings hourly pay to $0.50 above base rate. Qualifications include ability to stand for long periods, fine hand movements, and basic English communication.

Qualifications

  • No relocation benefit; must reside within 50 miles of the location.
  • Eaton will not sponsor immigration or visa plans (CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, etc.).
  • Requires ability to communicate in English and perform repetitive hand motions while standing.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble simple repetitive bench assemblies of parts and components.
  • Pick, pack and pull orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Troubleshoot problems and keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Support LEAN initiatives including 5-S on shop floor.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I (2nd Shift) - Seismic. The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 + .50 shift differential per hour.CORE HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PMPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.May use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.Keeps work areas clean and safe.Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered.
