Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift in El Paso, TX. The role involves wiring, assembling and mounting subassemblies in electrical control equipment, with testing and final inspection. You will follow drawings, maintain quality, and perform 5-S housekeeping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position offers a $16.76 per hour rate, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with eligibility for a variable incentive program and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of prior manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Overtime available when required.
• Preferred: degree in a technical discipline; forklift certification; experience with AS400/MAPICS.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, fit and mount subassemblies and components in control equipment.
• Prepare assemblies for testing and final inspection; verify electrical/mechanical integrity.
• Perform quality checks and ensure conformance with specs and codes.
• Follow drawings and manufacturing information to perform tasks.
• Maintain 5-S housekeeping and safe work practices; lift up to 35 lbs as needed.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembler 1st Shift.The hourly rate for this position is $16.76 per hour. The hours for this shift are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Responsible for a wide range of skills including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. Use established power-checking procedures and equipment to verify the electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping with assigned functions.Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and the work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continuing to dedicate yourself to raising the bar.Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications :High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.1 year of prior manufacturing or assembly experience.No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
