Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division in Reno, NV is seeking an Assembler I (2nd shift) – Packing. You will perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts, use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices, and pick, pack, and pull orders with accuracy.

Work under close supervision, troubleshoot problems, and maintain clean, safe work areas. You will support Lean initiatives including 5-S, OEE boards, Kaizen events, and other continuous improvement activities across the facility.

Qualifications

• Standing for long shifts and continuous standing during shifts.
• Regularly lifting up to 35 pounds with or without assistance.
• Fine motor skills required for repetitive hand motions.
• Exposure to loud environments; hearing protection may be required.
• Exposure to forklift traffic in warehouse areas.
• Must wear required PPE as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components on bench.
• Use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.
• Pick, pack and pull orders accurately.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; comply with LEAN/5-S standards.
• Support Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 + .50 shift differential per hour.The core hours are 2:45PM - 11:15PM. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
