Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Reno, NV is hiring an Assembler I (2nd shift) in the Packing area. The hourly rate is $20.47 with a $0.50 shift differential, and core hours run 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.

You will perform simple repetitive bench assembly, use fastening devices, and pick, pack, and pull orders while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods on shift.
• Regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise levels and potential forklift activity.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack, and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain work areas clean and safe.
• Support LEAN initiatives including 5-S and visual management tools.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I (2nd shift) - Packing at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 + .50 shift differential per hour.

The core hours are 2:45PM - 11:15PM. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you’ll do:

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• Use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack, and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.

• Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
  • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
