Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division seeks an Assembler I (1st Shift) - Seismic. The role involves simple bench assembly, fastening with bolts and screws, and working under close supervision from models or diagrams.

You will pick, pack, and pull orders efficiently while maintaining clean, safe work areas. There is emphasis on supporting LEAN initiatives, 5-S, OEE boards, and Kaizen activities across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including 5-S, visual management tools, and Kaizen participation.

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler I (1st Shift) - Seismic. The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour. CORE HOURS: 6AM - 2:30PM.

What You'll Do

• Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
• May use bolts, screws, clips and other fastening devices.
• Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
• Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
• Keeps work areas clean and safe.
• Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
  • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughoutthe facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Physical Demands

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs with assistance.
• Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas).
• Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
• Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open.
• Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
