Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks an assembler I to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, test, and inspect electrical and mechanical components across product lines, following precise work instructions to ensure quality and reliability.

Onsite schedule: Mon–Thu 3:00 PM–1:30 AM with overtime as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Assemble, verify and test electrical and mechanical components and assemblies across product lines.
  • Prepare and process components for assigned product lines.
  • Follow work instructions and test procedures; document related data to meet quality requirements.
  • Meet production build rates, schedules and cycle times.
  • Interface with manufacturing systems and record documentation as required.
  • Assemble cartons and prepare products for shipment per specs.
  • Set up, prepare, clean up and ensure quality in own work area.
  • Commit to quality and continuous improvement; meet training and documentation criteria.
  • Meet schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.

What you will do
  • As an assembler I, you will prepare, process, clean, install, assemble, rework, verify, test, and/or inspect electrical and mechanical components, hardware, subassemblies, and assemblies on single or multiple product lines.
  • Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines.
  • Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements.
  • Follow production build rates, and schedules and meet required cycle times.
  • Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required.
  • Assemble cartons and containers and prepare products for shipment in accordance with domestic, international, and/or customer specifications.
  • Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean-up, and quality assurance of own work and work area.
  • Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance, and meeting all training and documentation criteria.
  • Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
What you need
  • Preferred High School or GED Manufacturing Experience.
  • $21.25/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium plus bonus potential and benefits.

Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.

Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.

Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.

Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
