Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a production assembler for the Portage, MI area. You will assemble electrical and mechanical components, prepare parts for the lines, and follow documented procedures to meet quality and cycle times.

Under general supervision, you will handle set-ups, work area maintenance, and overtime as required. This role requires on-site presence with a Monday–Friday first shift and occasional Saturday overtime.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 10–50 lbs frequently or more depending on product line.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components including sub-assemblies, manual and electrical components.
• Prepare and process components for assigned product lines; follow work instructions and test procedures.
• Maintain quality documentation and meet production schedules; ensure proper setup and clean up of work area.

Work Flexibility: Onsite Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday- Friday, 5:45am-2:15pm, OT 2 Saturdays per month

What you will do:

Under general supervision, assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components and electrical components and all other related components to contribute to completion of a variety of products Prepare and process electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines Work from process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks along with monitoring and recording related documentation to meet quality requirements Follow production build rates, schedules and meet required cycle times Interface with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices as required Uses a variety of tools that may include, but is not limited to: manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices Responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work-area Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends Requires ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. on a frequent basis depending on product line, may rarely lift/carry 50-75 lbs.

Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility.
